In a move very similar to Cole Trickle running into Russ Wheeler in Days of Thunder, Tony Stewart decided to run into Jeff Gordon in the pits during the cool dow lap at the conclusion of Sundays Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The move was in retaliation to Jeff Gordon's last lap bump and spin of Stewart after the two were fighting hard for position. Stewart was fined $10,000 by NASCAR, mostly just a slap on the wrist for being bad while playing on Sunday afternoon. In addition to the fine, Stewart also lost the prize money that went along with his drop from 4th to 25th, a lose of $61,532, I might be a little upset also.
