fjrigjwwe9r3NASNET_news:newsarticle Today I wanted to show you two different things. The frist two shots are of the Race The Pro mode. Right now Bobby Labonte is the only pro available, but by release there should be many added for each and every track. The NASCAR driver you choose has a best lap at each track. You run from the pits and the next time you hit the start/finish line, there is a ghost car of the driver you are facing waiting. When you hit the line the car starts at full speed and continues the "best line." Your job is to beat the Pro back to the line. In the second shot you can see the ghost of Bobby Labonte that I am just edging Bobby at the line. The final four shots are that of a night race at Bristol. From this you can see some other things like smoke and the pit road where each team has their own pit box with crew and stop number. Also check out the AI going hard out of four, three wide. Really look at the second shot at Bristol, I gave Labonte a little tap and sent him sideways, he is just starting to lose it but you can see by his front wheels he is still trying to save it. I like the third shot because Hamilton is tracking way into the marbles to try to pull off a pass, another great three wide shot. And in the final shot, I got mine back just as well. These AI don't give, if they want by and you are holding them up, they will let you know with a little tap. Mayfield had been bumping me for two laps and then he finally sent me around, as you can see he slowed to avoid my spinning car and Hamilton pushed him right along. These AI are really great. Tomorrow I will post some good shots of NIGHT DAYTONA, and also some good shots of the challenge area. In the next week I will be able to run this on a better system (PIII 866, 256 RAM, and Voodoo5) so we should get some really nice pictures. Until tomorrow, have fun with these shots.
